A Twentynine Palms man who threw a beer bottle at a 10-year-old boy following an argument with the boy’s mother was arrested Saturday, accused of assault and spouse abuse. According to a Sheriff’s report, Christopher Myers, 38, was arguing with a woman in the 75800 block of Baseline Road about 9:30 p.m. Saturday night when he threw a beer bottle at the woman’s 10-year-old son. The bottle hit a wall and shards of glass cut the boy. The woman said when she confronted Myers about throwing the bottle, he grabbed her by the throat and hit her twice; she fought back by punching, kicking, and scratching Myers. Myers then left the location in his car. Deputies located Myers near the intersection of Godwin Road and Amboy Road in Twentynine Palms about 10:30 p.m. Christopher Myers was arrested for investigation of assault with a weapon and felony spouse abuse, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
