A vegetation fire burned about one-acre Saturday afternoon in the 49700 block of Burns Canyon Road in Rimrock, north of Yucca Valley. Calfire, along with the assistance of Yucca Valley and Yucca Mesa, were called about 5 p.m. to fight the blaze, which was about two miles past the end of the pavement on Burns Canyon Road. The fire was about one-half acre when firefighters arrived and with an aggressive attack, they were able to stop the forward spread and confine it to one acre. No structures were threatened.
