YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL TAKES UP BLOCK GRANTS AND LITIGATION TONIGHT

Among the items on tonight’s agenda of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the council will be asked to approve the entire Community Development Block Grant funding of $125,000 for improving the town’s North Park. Next, the council will hear a report on the Morongo Unified School District’s Measure C school bond. The council will also be asked to approve a funding request of $15,000 from the Yucca Valley BMX track. And finally, the council will authorize a town-wide crack and seal project be open for bids. In closed session, the council will confer with legal counsel about existing litigation in two cases (Lawrenson, et al. v. State of California Department of Transportation, Town of Yucca Valley, County of San Bernardino, Daniel Melnyk and Debra Greenwood; case number CIVDS1900446; and Rebecca Smithling et al. v. State of California Department of Transportation, Town of Yucca Valley, County of San Bernardino, and Tausif Billah; case number CIVDS1900606); and potential litigation. Tonight’s meeting is set for 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
