YUCCA VALLEY MERCHANT ROBBED AT GUNPOINT

Two armed robbers held up a Yucca Valley merchant at gunpoint New Year’s eve. About 6 p.m. on Monday the shop owner of No Limits on the highway across from the Vons Shopping Center, was alone in the store when two men with bandanas over their faces, one with a handgun the other with a shotgun pushed in the store closing the door behind them. Pointing the gun at the owner, one robber demanded money from the register as the other fired a shotgun round into the ceiling. After grabbing the cash both robbers fled the store southbound. Video surveillance from the store as well as video from a neighboring merchant was taken for evidence. No one was injured in the heist.
