YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Tuesday evening, accused of assault. Deputies were called to the 58300 block of San Andreas Road in Yucca Valley just after 5 p.m. for a domestic disturbance. The victim said that Luis Willis, 40, who was intoxicated, walked into his garage and started yelling at him. When the victim told Willis to leave, Willis allegedly attacked him. The victim fought back and pinned Willis to the ground until deputies arrived. The Sheriff’s report also stated that deputies were called to a home on Vera Lane where Willis had attacked his elderly father; a video of the attack showed Willis pushing and trying to drag his father out of the house. Luis Willis was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
