Two Morongo Basin residents were arrested early Friday for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon after an altercation in Yucca Valley. According to a Sheriff’s report, Ashley Sellers, 28, of Landers traveled to Paradise Park in Yucca Valley shortly after midnight responding to a text that challenged her to fight. When she arrived, the challenging party was not there so she went to a residence in the 6400 block of Hermosa. There, Sellers and Daniel Hogue, 20, of Joshua Tree, got into a confrontation with a group of individuals. Investigators said when the confrontation escalated, Hogue brandished a two-inch knife and attacked one of the unnamed individuals with it. Sellers then got into her vehicle and attempted to run over two victims, who have not been identified. Sellers and Hogue fled the scene in the vehicle. Deputies located Sellers and Hogue and arrested them for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon. Ashley Sellers was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and Daniel Hogue was booked into the Morongo Basin jail with bail set at $50,000 each.
