At 12:46 Thursday morning, deputies responded to a burglary alarm call at the Dollar General in Twentynine Palms. Deputies discovered the store had been burglarized, with cigarettes and alcohol stolen. At 1:35 a.m., deputies saw the suspects burglarizing the Berri Brothers gas station convenience store in Yucca Valley. Six suspects fled the scene in a silver BMW 320i. Deputies and California Highway Patrol officers pursued the suspect vehicle through Yucca Valley and Morongo Valley and onto Interstate 10 westbound. The 16-year-old male driver from Moreno Valley crashed the vehicle at Beaumont Avenue in Beaumont. The driver, and two 15-year-old male passengers, both from Hemet, were arrested at the scene. Three other suspects, two males and a female—fled on foot and are still outstanding. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and booked at San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall. The passengers were cited and released to their parents. Deputies recovered a large amount of cigarettes, and alcohol bottles in the vehicle. The crowbar used to break the glass doors at all the burglarized businesses was also recovered. The dark sedan, used in the earlier burglaries, has not been located.

Detectives are asking for assistance to locate the outstanding suspects and vehicle. The female, of unknown age and race, was seen wearing a sweatshirt with the word “Pink” on it. One of the males was wearing a jacket that says “NASA.” Neither the age or race of the sixth male suspect is unknown.

The same teens are suspected of burglarizing the Sinclair gas station convenience store in Yucca Valley and the All-American gas station convenience store in Morongo Valley in the early morning hours Monday. Stolen were cigarettes, a cash register, lottery tickets, and other items.
