Director Gary Daigneault and musical director Bill Barrett are skipping down the yellow brick road with the cast of the “Wizard of Oz.” New to the Theatre 29 stage is Christina Valentine, who will play Dorothy. Chris Fleischman is the Scarecrow; Keven Myers is the Cowardly Lion; and another Theatre 29 newcomer, Aidan Bosworth, will play the Tin Man. The Wicked Witch of the West will be played by Cindy Daigneault; Glinda the Good Witch will be played by Char Childs. Easy Boos will play Dorothy’s Uncle Henry and Ben Costello will play the Wizard. The ensemble includes Carly Bateman, Gabe Bateman, Ron Bottorff, Anna Carnes, Stemarian Hines, Sarabeth Matilsky, Ariel Montes, Adonai Patu, Josiah Ruiz, Patricia Zuniga, Britney Vachon-LaGuardia, Noah Walberg, Shelly Sheckler, and Emily Sheckler.
“The Wizard of Oz” will run weekends from March 2 through March 25, Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. Tickets are $12 to $15 from theatre29.org or call the box office at 760-361-4151.
