SEARCH FOR MISSING AZUSA MAN IN JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK CALLED OFF

Joshua Tree National Park re-opened Keys’ View Road Tuesday after an unsuccessful search operation over the weekend for a missing Azusa man. Michael Rodriguez, 58, left his home in Azusa June 20 and hasn’t been seen since then. The missing man’s blue Hyundai Elantra was seen on surveillance video entering the park, and the car was located Thursday, June 29, in the Juniper Flats area of Joshua Tree National Park. Searchers used Key’s View Road to land helicopters involved in the search. Search operations have been suspended, and the case has been reclassified as a missing person investigation. Michael Rodriguez is 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighs about 195 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Riverside Sheriff’s investigators at 760-836-3215.

Michael Rodriguez has been missing since June 20. His car was spotted entering Joshua Tree National Park and was found at the Juniper Flats area June 29.
