Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a double shooting in Yucca Valley early this morning. According to Sheriff’s Lieutenant Luke Niles, 20-year-old Nicholas Shine of Yucca Valley went into the USA gas station at Sage Avenue and Highway 62 about 1:30 a.m. and told the clerk he’d been shot. Shine was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs and was treated in intensive care. While deputies were searching the area near the America’s Best Value Inn and Suites and the movie theater, they came upon the body of Tymmothy Mosley, 19, who had been shot and killed. Deputies are presuming the shootings of Shine and Mosley are related. Sheriff’s homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.
