A Morongo Basin CHP officer received an award last month by the San Bernardino County California Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Officer Casey Simmons was recognized for his outstanding efforts in reducing the number of impaired drivers on the road. Simmons made 42 arrests in 2015 for driving under the influence. Officer Casey Simmons was also selected as the Morongo Basin area officer of the year.
