A suspect made a clean getaway from the carwash at the Yucca Valley AM/PM Wednesday. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 58100 block of Highway 62 around 1:30 p.m. The manager said that about noon, a man drove his car into the car wash and opened its door while the wash was moving, damaging the machine. He then backed his car out and fled without notifying anyone. The damage was estimated at between $2500 and $7500. The suspect’s vehicle was described as an early-2000 black Chevrolet Silverado four-door truck. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
