MAN ARRESTED FOR VANDALIZING THE JOSHUA TREE COURTHOUSE

An Apple Valley man was arrested Sunday, accused of vandalizing the county courthouse in Joshua Tree. A witness called about 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning to report that a man, later identified as Angel Delgado, 23, was seen hitting a newspaper rack with a hammer. Deputies say Delgado also broke a the parking barrier arm, a window to the courthouse, pulled the fire alarm, and tossed items around inside the courthouse. Angel Delgado was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $25,000.
