LANDERS WOMAN ACCUSED OF MAKING THREATS WITH AN ICE PICK

A Landers woman was arrested Wednesday after she threatened to kill a friend with an ice pick. According to a Sheriff’s report, Heather Hoffman, 42, was with two friends at a home in the 60200 block of Napa Road in Landers when the friends said Hoffman became aggressive toward them about 9:45 a.m. They told deputies that Hoffman grabbed an ice pick, told one of her friends she was going to kill her, and ran toward her with the ice pick. The friend ran out of the house with Hoffman chasing her with the ice pick, which she eventually threw toward her friend. After an investigation, Heather Hoffman was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $50,000.
