A Landers man was arrested Thursday morning in Desert Hot Springs, after police said he made a fake bomb threat to an elementary school. Kitchen staff at Cabot Yerxa Elementary School called Desert Hot Springs police just after 10:30 a.m. Thursday to report the school had received a call saying there was a bomb at the school. Officers quickly determined that the call was a hoax and there was no bomb on the school grounds. Within 90 minutes of receiving the call, officers identified, located, and took into custody the man they suspected made the call: Jerrett Tagger III, 31, of Landers. Jerrett Tagger was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats and making a false report of a bomb in a public place, and booked into a Riverside County Jail.
