A Joshua Tree man was arrested early Saturday morning, accused of breaking a hotel window and throwing items out the window. Deputies were called to the Best Western Hotel in the 56500 block of 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley about 2:45 a.m. by a hotel employee who said that Ward Violanti, 54, had broken a window in a third-floor hotel room and was throwing clothing and hotel property out the window. After an investigation, Ward Violanti was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
