HOMEMADE FIREWORKS AMPUTATE YUCCA VALLEY MAN’S ARM TUESDAY

Homemade fireworks are responsible for blowing off part of an arm of a Yucca Valley man Tuesday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, paramedics were called to the 55600 block of Mountain View Trail in Yucca Valley at 6:11 a.m. for a fireworks-related injury. There they found Wayne Sellar, 57, with a severe injury to his arm due to an explosion from homemade fireworks. Sellar was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for treatment. When the Sheriff’s bomb and arson squad arrived at the Mountain View address, they located numerous homemade fireworks as well as materials necessary to make fireworks.
