DEPUTIES SEEK PUBLIC’S HELP IN IDENTIFYING SUSPECTS IN MORONGO VALLEY BURGLARIES

Morongo Basin Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a series of burglaries in Morongo Valley that they believe are related, and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspected burglars. Just before 5 a.m. on Monday, November 5, two men broke into the Sand to Snow Monument Bar and Grill in the 49800 block of 29 Palms Highway. The thieves stole money from the jukebox and the manager’s office. A week later, the same men forced entry into the bar again about 3:30 a.m. and stole a cash box. On Wednesday, November 14, suspects broke into the All American Fuel and Food in the 49500 block of 29 Palms Highway and stole more than $7000 in cigarettes and other merchandise. Detectives believe the burglaries are related and have released photos of the suspects. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
