A car was destroyed in a fire Thursday afternoon in Landers. About 2:30 p.m., fire fighters were called to a car fire on Juniper Road near Reche Road. Flames were coming from the car’s engine compartment, and starting to burn the interior of the older model Nissan Maxima. The driver got out of the car safely. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
