YUCCA VALLEY WILL DECIDE VACATION TAX RATE INCREASE ON NOVEMBER BALLOT

Measure K, the Transient Occupancy Tax for Hotels and Short-Term Vacation rentals, will be on the November 8 ballot. The measure will amend the current TOT tax.

Measure K is a hotel/short-term vacation rental occupancy tax paid by visitors using Hotels and STVRs. If passed, the measure would adjust the Town’s current tax rate from 7% to 12%. The revenue will go into the general fund for Police patrols, 9-1-1- emergency response, gang and crime prevention, street maintenance, traffic management, park upkeep, facility maintenance, fire protection, and affordable housing.
