YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL MEETS, REPORT ON MEDICAL MARIJUANA CITIZENS’ INITIATIVE ON AGENDA

The Yucca Valley Town Council will begin its meeting tonight with a closed session at 5:30 at which it will discuss one potential case of litigation. The open session begins at 6. First up, the Council will be introduced to Miss Yucca Valley, Sarah Webb, and her court, and recognize the employee of the quarter. Among the items on the consent agenda, the council will be asked to approve a town-wide slurry seal project, the refurbishment of the community center infield, and improvements at Jacobs Park. On the action agenda, the council will be asked to approve the acquisition agreement for Brehm Sports Park, hear a report on the strategic plan for the Hi-Desert Nature Museum, and hear an impact report on the medical marijuana dispensaries citizen’s initiative. Immediately following the town council meeting will be a meeting for the successor agency to the Redevelopment Agency, at which it will be asked to approve the recognized obligation payment schedule. The meeting will be held in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
