At tonight’s meeting, the commission will hold a public hearing on proposed changes to Walmart’s signage and exterior color. Also on the agenda are the removal of five dead detached Western Joshua Trees (at the 58000 block of Hidden Gold Drive, 58000 block of Bonanza Drive, 7500 block of Mariposa Trail, and 7000 block of Cholla Ave), the trimming of one Western Joshua Tree (at the 7300 block of La Vina Trail), the transplant of eight Western Joshua Trees (at the 5100 block of Grand Avenue, 59000 block of Hilde Lane, the 56000 block of Oakwood Drive, 6100 block of Buena Suerte, and the 5800 block of Piedmont Dr), encroachment permits for 4 Western Joshua Trees (at the 57000 Block of Airway Ave), and the removal of 12 Mojave Yuccas (at the 6100 block of Buena Suerte and the 58000 block of Piedmont Drive) and one California Juniper (at the 58000 block of Piedmont Drive) from properties throughout Yucca Valley. The commission will also hold a public hearing on numerous exceptions to town property requirements in the 6700 block of Lindbergh Lane. The commission meets tonight at 6 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center.
