Yucca Valley Planning Commission pick up discussion on shipping container treatments tonight (3/24)

Shipping containers — or specifically the treatments used to disguise the fact that they are shipping containers — are on the agenda tonight as the Planning Commission is expected to review the requirements in the development code for residential and hillside districts to have a shipping container on their property for the use of storage.

Added to the agenda from the last meeting in March: a discussion on the minimum single-family residential dwelling square footage requirement of at least 725 square feet. The commission is expected to retain the current standard.

Commissioners are also expected to review a yard setback variance, approve the Sun Mesa Mini-Storage development and a review a split rail post fence request.

That’s tonight at the Yucca Valley Community Center beginning at 6:00 p.m.
