Yucca Valley Planning Commission: Exterior Color Change, ADU’s update

Tuesday night’s Yucca Valley Planning Commission meeting will begin with an Exterior Color Change application for the El Comandante Taqueria, located at 56945 Twentynine Palms Highway. The commercial building’s application was considered at the last meeting on March 25, when the Commission recommended the applicant provide alternative designs with signage, landscaping, and color options in the approved color palette. The applicant returned with two alternative designs, which Town Staff recommends the Commission denies due to lack of consistency with the Commercial Design Guidelines.

The Commission will then receive an update to the Yucca Valley General Plan concerning accessory dwelling units and the Town’s promotion of their development to address the need for affordable housing.

Lastly, Town Staff will present the Land Development Update.

Tonight’s meeting is open to the public and begins at 6 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center.
