Yucca Valley Planning Commission: Chipotle near completion, two new restaurant permits requested

The Yucca Valley Planning Commission considered new developments throughout town, including restaurants and a new apartment complex.

During the Department Reports at tonight’s meeting, the Yucca Valley Planning Commission continued an application to change the exterior color of the commercial structure located at the northeast corner of Twentynine Palms Highway and Prescott Avenue until December 20.

During the Land Update Report, staff reported that Chipotle is nearing its completion and is planning on opening on the 20th. Starbucks is currently with building and safety. There is a new permit application for Casa del Tequila, a Tapas bar and Grill. Star Cafe has a grading plan review with the Yucca Valley engineers. Evoke Modern needs to go into the CEQA process. A permit for a five-unit apartment complex is coming to the permit Department soon, and there are currently 115 vacation rental permits available.
