Yucca Valley man lying in flood wash saved from fentanyl overdose

A man suffering from a fentanyl overdose in a Yucca Valley was was revived by Sheriff’s Deputies who administered naloxone.

On March 12, Deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded to a report an unresponsive man, who was found in a flood control wash near the intersection of Airway Ave and Yucca Trail just before midnight.

The man, only identified as a 32 year-old resident of Yucca Valley, was determined by Deputies to be suffering from an overdose of fentanyl. The officers used two doses of naloxone, which can treat narcotics overdoses, after which they the man began breathing, and was transported to the Hi-Desert Medical Center by San Bernardino County Fire paramedics, for further treatment.

No arrests were made in this incident.
