Yucca Valley home spared in late night garage fire on Inca Trail

A fire in a garage attached to a single family home in Yucca Valley was quickly put out by the San Bernardino County Fire Department last night (Aug 26) – sparing the attached home.

Firefighters quickly responded to reports of an attached garage on fire on the 7500 block on Inca Trail in Yucca Valle. Upon arrival they found that the fire had already burned through the roof of the structure, but firefighters aggressively pushed the flames back and were able to save the attached furnished home.

The occupants were able to safely evacuate prior to the firefighters’ arrival. The home received smoke damage and the occupants are staying with family members.

San Bernardino County responded with Battalion 139, Medic Engine 41, Medic Engine 36, Medic Engine 42, MA41 and Investigator 168.

San Bernardino County received assistance from our Cal Fire cooperators with Engine 3567. San Bernardino County Sheriff department was on scene to provide any assistance needed. There were no injuries to personnel.
