There are 10 places showing off artwork today, with many galleries debuting new shows and holding receptions with the featured artists.

The Joshua Tree National Park Association debuts a new show “History of Joshua Tree National Park: A Legacy of Conservation and Preservation,” featuring a number of local and California artists. There will be a reception for this show from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Space Truckin’ Gallery debuts a new show called Rainbow Rubble, featuring the colorful and chaotic prints and collages of artist Walker Mettling

Compound YV is holding an opening reception from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for their new show, titled “12 Paintings/12 Collages” featuring Sean W. Spellman’s minimalist images of Mojave Desert inconography.
