WONDER VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF BRANDISHING A FIREARM AND DEATH THREATS

A Wonder Valley man was arrested, accused of brandishing a firearm and threatening to kill his former landlord. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Sunday, June 26 Gilbert Gonzalez went to his former residence in the 83000 block of Amboy Road in Wonder Valley. He had been recently evicted. Gonzalez confronted his former landlord who owned the property and demanded the owner leave. Gonzalez was asked to leave and brandished a firearm at the victim and said he would kill him. Gonzalez left the incident location in his van in the direction of Twentynine Palms. 

Gonzalez was positively identified by the victim and a warrant was issued for Gonzalez’s arrest. Deputies went to Gonzalez’s residence on the 70000 block of Amboy Road, Wonder Valley. Gilbert Gonzalez was arrested for the felony warrant. Deputies conducted a search of Gonzalez’s trailer and located a bullet proof vest and three airsoft replica firearms. Gonzalez was booked at the Morongo jail for the warrant alleging brandishing a firearm and making a terrorist threat.
