Busy meetings are on tap tonight (September 18, 2024) for Yucca Valley’s Hi-Desert Water District and for the Joshua Basin Water District in Joshua Tree. The meeting in Yucca Valley begins promptly at 4:30 p.m. The gavel comes down at 5:30 in Joshua Tree.
Following priority project updates, directors at the Hi-Desert Water District will take up Yucca Valley’s ballot measure Z, amendments to the conflict of interest code, and changes to employee benefits. Today’s meeting takes place at the district office on the highway at Inca Trail.
Down the highway in Joshua Tree, the Joshua Basin Water District board will take up the draft strategic plan, receive an update on Chromium Six compliance, and see a preliminary fourth quarter financial report. That meeting takes place at the District Office on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
