Directors at Yucca Valley’s Hi-Desert Water District meet in regular session at 4 o’clock today (July 17, 2024). Down the road in Joshua Tree, the Joshua Basin Water District board meets at 5:30 p.m.
Among the many items on today’s agenda at the Hi-Desert Water District is a public hearing on water standby assessments for fiscal 2024-2025. Directors will also receive a recruitment update as the district looks to hire a general manager to replace Paul Peschel who was terminated at a July third closed session. Today’s meeting takes place at the district office on the highway at Inca Trail.
And on to the East at the Joshua Basin Water District directors will kick off a strategic planning workshop, set the appropriation limit for fiscal 2024-2025, and likely approve a creative funds transfer to manage a modest cash reserve fund shortfall. The meeting takes place at the District Office on Chollita Road in Joshua Tree.
