Volunteers needed for “Girls on the Run” Celebration at Luckie Park on Thursday (5/22)

Volunteers are needed for an event this Thursday at Luckie Park in Twentynine Palms, and organizers are hoping to get sign-ups by the end of the day Monday (5/19).

The Twentynine Palms Parks and Recreation is hosting an event at Luckie Park to celebrate the conclusion of their inaugural “Girls on the Run” season.

The program empowers 3rd through 8th grade girls to be physically active while building confidence and friendships. The girls will run a 5k at the event and the Twentynine Palms Parks and Recreation Department needs more volunteers to be running buddies, help with event setup and breakdown, handing out water, and being a cheer squad.

All volunteers will receive a free meal, but you need to sign up by Monday May 19th.
