Volunteer opportunities for desert conservation at Mojave Desert Land Trust

The Mojave Desert Land Trust has a few volunteer opportunities for those looking to get more in touch with your community and desert ecosystem.

There are two Stewardship Days coming up: Tuesday April 1, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and Tuesday May 6, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Stewardship Days: Tuesday April 1, 8am-12pm and Tuesday May 6, 8am-12pm

They are an opportunity to help MDLT Natural Resource Technicians do habitat restoration on preserves located in the Morongo Basin through vertical mulching, sign and fence installation, property clean-up and trash and invasive plant removal. Locations vary depending on where the technicians need the most support. Activities can be moderate-strenuous work that requires the ability to lift heavy objects and walk over uneven terrain.

They will be hosting FREE First Aid and CPR class for volunteers with the first class on Thursday April 24, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – there will be classes in May and June as well.

CPR Classes:

Thursday April 24, 1pm-4pm
Thursday May 22, 1pm-4pm
Thursday June 5, 1pm-4pm
