Victim of fatal 29 Palms crash indentified

The motorcyclist killed in a crash in Twentynine Palms last weekend has been identified.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office released the name of the man who lost control of his motorcycle, crashing on Larrea Ave near Twentynine Palms on Saturday afternoon (October 28). Manuel Leonardo Martinez, a 60 year-old resident of Twentynine Palms, was traveling southbound on Larrea Avenue when Sheriff’s Deputies reported he lost control of his motorcycle, and ran off the roadway into a ditch. 

Deputies report that he was given medical care at the scene of the crash, but was pronounced dead at a local hospital. 

No other vehicles were involved in the collision. This case is currently under investigation.
