Twentynine Palms Water District meeting agenda for 9/24

The Twentynine Palms Water District will hold two meetings on Wednesday, September 24th.
The first meeting will start at 3:45 p.m. and will focus on the Twentynine Palms Water District Financing Corporation’s election of Officers, namely President, Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer.
The Statement of Investments and Activities is next, followed by a discussion on future projects and debt requirements.
This meeting will be immediately followed by the monthly Twentynine Palms Water District Regular meeting, scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
A discussion will take place on whether a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process is necessary for the redundant treated water reservoir and booster pump station project located at the fluoride removal plant. As the project will not cause any issues which would fall under the CEQA, a categorical exemption may be sought.
In California, a sanitary survey is mandated by the federal safe drinking water act and conducted by the State’s Division of Drinking Water (DDW). In April and May an engineer from DDW conducted a survey and Twentynine Palms Water District was found to be compliant. The Board will discuss this survey.
The board meeting schedule will be adjusted for November and December, to fall on the third Wednesday of those months to avoid scheduling conflicts with the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The Regular meetings would then fall on November 19th and December 17th 2025.
There will be Maintenance, Water quality and Finance reports, as well as a report from the General Manager.
Located at 72401 Hatch Road, in Twentynine Palms, the District’s Financing Corporation meeting begins at 3:45 p.m., which will be immediately followed by the Regular monthly meeting.
