Twentynine Palms Planning Commissions hosts study session on mobile home and RV parks this week

This week, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will meet for a study session on Mobile Home Parks and Recreational Vehicle Parks.

In an ongoing effort to update and simplify the city’s development code language, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will host a study session on Mobile Home Parks and Special Occupancy Parks on Tuesday evening.

Previously, the commission requested that regulations for Mobile Home Parks (MHP), Recreational Vehicle Parks, and Campgrounds be separate. Proposed changes include requiring common laundry facilities at mobile home parks, requiring trash enclosures at Recreational Vehicle Parks, and increasing the minimum lot size to ten (10) acres for campgrounds.

Again, this is a workshop so the commission will simply be gathering input before holding public hearing on the matter.

The meeting takes place on Tuesday, August 20, at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road. It can be livestreamed or viewed on-demand via the city’s website, 29palms.org.
