The first item was the selection of the Planning Commission Chair and Vice chair. Commissioner Krushat nominated Jessica Cure as Chair and Alex Garcia as Vice Chair. This was approved unanimously.

The Planning Commission held a study session as part of the overall review and update of the Development code. Several Automobile and Vehicle Related Uses were discussed  including moving the language regarding gates to the appropriate section and  changing the landscape requirement to be consistent with other sections of the code. Clarifying the length of a drive-thru and removing the limit on drive-thru hours were also discussed.

Regarding Bed and Breakfast Uses, A Tourist Commercial designation will be added to the Chapter and the Multi-Family will be changed to a single family designation. A bed and breakfast must have access to an improved road. A minimum lot size will not be required as long as there is enough parking for the number of guests being accommodated. ADA parking is not required for a short term rental.

When discussing the local Farmers Markets, it was agreed that a minimum distance between uses should not be required; a minimum percentage of produce or food vendors should not be mandatory and Food trucks should definitely be allowed.
