Twentynine Palms Planning Commission looking at water meter requirements at Tuesday’s meeting

The Twentynine Palms Water District generally does not issue water meters for parcels without addresses. Currently a City of Twentynine Palms building permit application is required to establish an address to allow for a water meter installation. The Planning Commission is requested to discuss the policy for property addressing  and provide direction to department staff on this issue.

An annual report is required to update the progress made towards meeting the City’s goals regarding the adopted housing element. An 85-page attachment to the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission agenda clarifies the housing element portion of the City’s General plan. The department recommendation is that the Planning Commission accept the Housing Element Annual Progress Report and the General Plan Status Report, and forward them to the City Council for final approval.

The meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. and is taking place at Twentynine Palms City Hall, located at 6136 Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms.
