Twentynine Palms residents looking to add their perspective on local issues should consider attending the city’s second Equity and Social Justice Element workshop tonight, Thursday, September 29, at Patriotic Hall at 5885 Luckie Avenue. The workshop will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. but it is an open-format so participants may join at any time during that two-hour period.

Discussion topics around equity include education, food access, housing, healthcare, transportation, and public services. The Equity and Social Justice Element initiative and workshop combines several state-mandated topics which must be included in the city’s General Plan. Workshop facilitators and city leaders will be on hand to assist and engage all attendees.
