The Twentynine Palms High School Ladycats volleyball teams hosted the Rams last night (September 15). The JV team won 25-20 and 25-23. While the Varsity team beat the Rams 26-24, 25-15, and 25-17. The Ladycats host a home game with the Rajahs of Indio tonight.
JV highlights: Daysah Parker-Bullion had one kill and one assist. Tui Young served up one ace and had one kill. Haley Christeson served up three ace serves. Lindie Stewart had two assists, one ace and one kill. Jadyn Bauer served up one ace, had two assists and two kills for the night. Libero Anisia Rios played solid defense.
Varsity Highlights: The Ladycats varsity squad held their senior night last night, losing 10 seniors from their program. Senior Setter Kaelina Palpallatoc had 3 ace serves and 14 assists. Senior N’Taiya Youso had 4 aces and 6 kills. Senior Leah Engesser put down 5 kills. Senior Mya Chacon had 3 aces, 4 digs, and 4 kills. Senior Libero Alana Gutierrez had 4 ace serves and played solid defense with 10 digs. Senior Gianna Bilderain had solid serving, 2 assists and 4 digs. Senior Mya Bullion had 4 kills. Senior Hailee Jenkins had 3 digs and 2 ace serves. Sophomore Kyla Palpallatoc had 2 kills and junior Itzel Solorio had one ace. Freshman Jenica Silvas had 4 ace serves and 5 assists.
