47th Congressional District Assemblymember Greg Wallis released a statement regarding the bombing of the American Reproductive Center in Palm Springs:
“I am heartbroken and devastated by the deadly bombing at the American Reproductive Center in Palm Springs, which authorities have confirmed as an intentional act of violence. This horrific attack, which claimed at least one life and injured several others, is a direct assault on our community’s values of compassion, hope, and access to reproductive care.
I unequivocally condemn this hateful act and my deepest condolences go out to the victims, their families, and the entire Palm Springs community as we navigate this senseless loss. We will not allow fear to divide us, and I will continue working with local, state, and federal authorities to ensure justice is served and our community remains safe.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Palm Springs Police Department, firefighters, FBI, and all local, state, and federal public safety officials who responded with bravery and urgency. Your unwavering dedication to protecting our community is truly commendable.
I urge residents to remain vigilant, avoid the affected area around North Indian Canyon Drive, and continue supporting one another. We must stand united in the face of fear to build a California where hate has no home in our society. We must work tirelessly to support our community, seek justice, and prevent such tragedies in the future.”
