Twentynine Palms City Council meets tonight (11/8)

Listen here:

The Twentynine Palms City Council meets tonight at 6PM – tonight they are expected to have presentations to the 29 Palms Touchdown Club for their Cash for Trash and Recycling Program, a proclamation recognizing November as Family Court Awareness Month, as well a presentation by the Institute of Inquiry on the Childcare Crisis.

The Council is also expected to reject all 5 bids for the “Safe Route to Schools” infrastructure project – due to inflating construction costs since the initial request for bids in September. The bids range from 1.3 to 1.8 million dollars. Also on the construction docket – the quarter-million dollar SR62 raised median project is expected to be awarded, the city is considering applying for a state grant for the Luckie Park pool rehabilitation project – and the annual comprehensive financial report for the previous fiscal year will be discussed.

The meeting takes place Tuesday November 8th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road. The meeting can be livestreamed or viewed on-demand via the city’s website, 29palms.org.
