Twentynine Palms City Council hosts public hearing tonight on reauthorization of Tourism Business Improvement District

Tonight, the Twentynine Palms City Council will gather for a public hearing on the possible reauthorization of the Tourism Business Improvement Districts’ budget.

The Twentynine Palms City Council will kick off tonight’s meeting with the introduction of the city’s newest employee. There will be a presentation from the Morongo Unified School District on Measure C, a bond aimed at upgrading school facilities, followed by an update from Parks and Recreation on the Million Coaches Challenge Grant that was bestowed last year.

Recreation Division Manager Kary Minatrea will give an update on the 88th annual Pioneer Days coming up in October.

The meeting includes a public hearing (discussion and vote) on the reauthorization of the Tourism Business Improvement Districts’ (TBID) 2024-2025 marketing plan and budget. On September 10, the council voted unanimously to approve both, and this would officially enable the TBID to continue.

The meeting takes place on Tuesday, September 24, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road. It can be livestreamed or viewed on-demand via the city’s website, www.29palms.org.
