Tuesday morning Twentynine Palms vegetation fire quickly knocked down

A fire described as suspected arson was quickly knocked down just after midnight on Tuesday morning. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the corner of Adobe and Amboy Roads in Twentynine Palms, where a tree and the surrounding vegetation were on fire.

San Bernardino County Fire was dispatched and they extinguished the fire without incident. They said there were no injuries or damage to any infrastructure. County Fire says that the area is known for transients as well as a place where people regularly dump trash.

If you see a fire or smoke, don’t hesitate to report it by dialing 911. In these extra dry conditions, even a small smoldering fire can quickly turn into a devastating wildfire.
