Town of Yucca Valley looking for a track operator for vacant BMX track

The Town of Yucca Valley is exploring opportunities to revive its BMX track facility, located on Sage Avenue behind the Yucca Valley Community Center.

Since 2016, the track was leased to a local non-profit organization who discontinued operations in August of 2023.

The Town is exploring options for reopening the track and anyone interested in taking on the role of track operator can contact the city with their qualification, as well as a plan for managing a local non-profit BMX organization.

BMX rose to popularity in the early 1970’s and is a popular sport for adults and kids to send it on dirt, asphalt, or jump tracks that are popular in Southern California.

For information, contact Town of Yucca Valley Community Services Manager, Sue Earnest, [email protected] or (760) 369-7211.
