THREE PEOPLE HOSPITALIZED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS TRAFFIC COLLISION WEDNESDAY

Three people were hospitalized in a multi-vehicle traffic collision in Twentynine Palms Wednesday afternoon. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies responded to the intersection of Lear Avenue and Twentynine Palms Highway just after 12:30 p.m. for reports of a multi-vehicle collision. Arriving deputies determined that the driver of a Ford was turning left at the intersection when the driver of a Toyota ran a red light and hit the Ford, causing the Ford to spin and come to rest blocking the intersection. The Toyota slid to a stop along the curb. The driver and passenger of the Toyota were transported by Morongo Basin Ambulance to Hi Desert Medical Center. The driver of the Ford was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center.
