Theatre 29 unveiled their highly anticipated 2022 -23 theatre season on Friday, August 19th at a public gala event in Twentynine Palms.
While the season opener was revealed a few weeks ago, the family musical of Roald Dahl’s “James and the Giant Peach” which will run Sept 2 – 18, the rest of the slate had been kept under wraps.
Following “Peach” will be a new Off-Broadway smash hit comedy, “Puffs” which tells the story of a certain boy wizard, but from a different point of view October 14 – 30. The holidays bring “The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical” November 25 – December 11.
In the new year, “Peter and the Starcatcher” will premiere with a highly inventive Peter Pan origin tale March 17 – Apr 2, May 12-28 “Disney’s My Son Pinocchio” will play with music by Steven Schwartz.
Rounding out the season June 16 – 25 will be Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Season tickets are available at theatre29.org.
