Theatre 29 offers a delightful family holiday classic with “A Charlie Brown Christmas”

Join Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, and the rest of the Peanuts gang on stage at Theatre 29 weekends December 1st through 17th. In addition to the family show, cocoa and candy canes will be given away, there will be a photo booth, and a craft station where kids can make their own delightful holiday souvenirs.

The entertainment starts with a mini concert featuring the multi-talented Robin Wilson showcasing holiday musical favorites.

Then after a brief intermission, Director Katie Fleischman brings Peanuts’ timeless holiday television special “A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage” to life with John Pollnow as Charlie Brown; Britney Vachon-LaGuardia as Lucy; Carly Bateman as Snoopy; Adonai Patu as Linus; Samantha Stevens as Pig Pen; Paphilius “Tom” Patu as Schroeder; Wendy Cohen as Patty; Tiffany Crocker as Sally, Belen Patino as Violet; Juluis Dean as Shermy and, Nailah Morales, Maryam Langdon, Constance Large, Chloe Adams, David Flores, and Tyler Bateman as ensemble members.

After the final bow, the show crescendos into a celebration of holiday music as the audience will be invited to join the cast as they sing traditional Christmas songs and carols. Santa Claus will be in attendance December 8,9,16,17.

“A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage” will run three weekends, December 1 – 17 with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:00 pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $15.00 for regular admission, $12.50 for Seniors and Military, and $10.00 for children under 12 and students with ID, (a service charge is added).

Charlie Thomas is a local theatrical director, actor, producer, stage designer and playwright with over thirty-five years’ experience in both professional and non-professional live theatre, film, television, and radio. His pedigree includes most of the major theatrical companies in the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin including Theatre 29, Hi-Desert Playhouse, Groves Cabin Theatre, Palm Canyon Theatre and College of the Desert, to name a very few. Charlie is an active member of the greater desert performing arts scene. He currently serves as Vice-President on the Theatre 29 board of directors. He also serves on the board of the Desert Theatre League, a live performance support organization that provides judging and awards for theatrical and dance excellence for over 39 organizations. He is also a founding panelist of the Alliance of Desert Theatres which formed during the COVID-19 pandemic to network with performing arts houses all over the desert for support and networking while the industry was shutdown. During his theatrical career, Charlie has won many Desert Theatre League performance awards as well as their “Sidney Harmon” award which recognizes honorees for exhibiting theatrical excellence. Charlie Thomas joined Z107.7 in April 2020 and has greatly come to enjoy the everchanging scope of the work. He has also enjoyed the opportunity to share his breadth of knowledge and experience as Z107.7’s Entertainment Reporter. He is grateful to be able to share news stories about the wide variety of arts our beautiful basin has to offer.
