THEATRE 29 announces 26th season slate

Having just launched the finale production of their 25th anniversary theatre season, the Agatha Christie murder mystery “And Then There Were None”, the hardworking volunteers at Theatre 29 have announced a brand-new season of shows for 2025-26.

With a packed house of supporters, patrons, performers, and staff, Theatre 29 revealed their much-anticipated 2025-26 season of plays, musicals, revues, and special events. 

Play Selection Committee Chair Cindy Daigneault hosted the event Wednesday evening, June 18.

The season consists of a Holiday themed musical, A science fiction drama, A beloved classic musical with a twist, a touching Southern drama and an original farce.

November 21 through December 7, Nena Jimenez brings the sisters back for “Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical”, follows by Eddie Tucker’s production January 16 – February 1, of Pulitzer Prize finalist “Marjorie Prime”.  This will be followed March 27 – April 12, by Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella”, the classic musical directed by Gary Daigneault, then May 8-24, Lisa Hodgson will stage perennial favorite, “Steel Magnolias” and June 12-28, newcomer Sharianne Greer will bring her new original farce “Fortressed” to life. 

Additionally, there was planned two musical revues, September 5-7 brings “Miscast 2025” and February 6-8, “All You Need Is Love”, The weekend of September 19-21 sees the return of the “29 Palms Queer Film Festival” and the weekend of October 3-5, brings another original debut in “Captured”, an original thriller written and directed by Hollywood A-lister James Franco. June 22-July 26 will bring back the ever-popular Summer Youth Theatre Program.
