The Yucca Valley Planning Commission reviewed and approved the Land Use request for authorization to increase the number of overnight occupants from 8 to 12 and vehicles from 3 to 5 at the short-term vacation rental at 8079 Emerson Avenue.

The increase allows for two people per room. The Commissioners considered the number of bedrooms, size of rooms, proximity to neighbors, and a neighbor’s recommendation letter. The applicant Josh Breuner was present at the meeting. The Commission also reviewed and filed the Development Update of the Blue Star RV Temporary Use Permit. The commissioners then received an update on Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., which is currently working on air quality and traffic studies with a new civil engineer.

In future business, the Commissioners and staff considered reviewing parking standards.
